Fekra - Art heals. Stories set free. Ideas matter.

Founded in Gaza in 2001 by author and director Rasmi Damo, Fekra began as an independent artistic initiative using theatre, storytelling and creativity to give a voice to children and young people living in an environment of fear, censorship and conflict.

In 2020, Rasmi created Fekra France, pursuing the same mission in France, across Europe and among refugee communities.

Today, Fekra operates in two centres — Gaza and France — and supports children affected by war, exile and loss. Through art, we help them heal, express themselves, and imagine a future full of hope.
